On the left-hand side of the screen you can find a (fold-out) page index, which can be opened by clicking on "Open course index" and enables quick navigation within the Moodle course. This gives you an overview of the content and allows you to jump directly to any content with a simple click.

Blocks containing additional information are integrated on the right-hand side. In addition to links to SHUFFLE and the ZAB homepage, you will also find progress bars that display your progress in the various checklists.

The content in this course is presented in various formats. Use the icon and the title as a guide to find the topic and format you require.

Checklists

For each file format, there is a checklist adapted to the needs of university teaching as a progress list. The advantages of the Moodle checklists are that 1. they can be found within the course and therefore always in the same place and 2. you can keep track of them with the support of a progress bar on the right-hand side of the course.

Knowledge database

Icon Book for implementation support The knowledge database in the third section consists exclusively of books. The books deal with different topics in the context of digital accessibility at universities. The division into chapters provides an overview of the content so that only individual chapters can be read as required.

If you are inside a book, there is also a sidebar on the right-hand side that you can open and close. Within the books, you can display the table of contents here and navigate between the chapters. The button for this is located at the top right of the course room and is labelled "Open block bar". An "X" labelled "Close block bar" appears when you close the block bar.

Implementation aids

For Word, PowerPoint, Moodle and videos, implementation aids in the form of books are also available directly in Moodle, which are linked to the checklists. The implementation aids are intended to support you in implementing the points mentioned in the checklists.

Downloads

The documents are also available for download in order to fulfil all requirements and to enable use at any time and from any location.

  • The downloadable checklists are more comprehensive than the checklists created within Moodle. You will find a table with four columns. In the first column there is space for you to tick off the aspect. In the second column, the aspects are categorised. The third column contains the aspect to be considered. The fourth column describes the needs for which this aspect is particularly helpful.
  • The implementation aids for download are congruent with the implementation in Moodle. The order in the checklists reflects the order within the implementation aids.
  • The extended checklists for download are only available for the creation of accessible documents. They are somewhat more comprehensive and take into account all the requirements of BITV 2.0 (Ordinance on the Creation of Accessible Information Technology under the Disability Equality Act). If all the requirements of the extended checklist are met, the document is accessible in accordance with the legal requirements for public bodies in Germany.
